The story behind The Secret Recipe Society…

My love for recipes and cookbooks is deeply connected to my Mom. Some of my most treasured things aren’t expensive or fancy—they’re her handwritten recipe cards, with her handwriting, little notes, and recipes that bring back memories the second I see them.

After losing my Mom, those recipes became even more precious to me. ❤️

That’s part of what inspired The Secret Recipe Society—the idea that old cookbooks and handwritten recipes deserve to be loved, shared and passed along instead of forgotten on a shelf.

Every cookbook has had a life before it reaches you. It may have notes, a well-loved page, an old clipping tucked inside, or simply recipes that once sat in someone else’s kitchen waiting to be made.
