Every cookbook has a story....

For me, cookbooks have never been just books filled with recipes.
They are little pieces of history.

When my mom passed away at the age of 66, in 2025, I was blessed with some of the cookbooks & recipes I remember growing up. Cookbooks are little pieces of history.

I love opening an old cookbook and wondering who owned it before me.
Which recipe was their family favorite?
Which page did they turn to every Christmas?
Which handwritten note in the margin came from a mother, grandmother, friend or neighbor?
I love the stains, the tucked-away clippings, the handwritten changes, and all the signs that a cookbook was once part of someone's everyday life.

I love new cookbooks too, but there is something especially meaningful about recipes that have been shared, cooked, loved, and passed down through generations.

Over the years, collecting cookbooks has become one of those things that simply makes me happy. I genuinely enjoy sitting down to read them. I love discovering regional recipes, church and community cookbooks, old restaurant recipes. forgotten dishes and all the stories of the people and places behind them.

I wanted to create a way for these treasures to continue their stories while giving someone else the excitement of discovering something they may have never chosen for themselves -- new or old!

Each BLIND DATE WITH A COOKBOOK is hand selected and wrapped so that opening it feels like a culinary mystery. Some may be vintage, some may be regional, some quirky, some nostalgic and some simply too interesting to leave behind.

My hope is that you'll unwrap yours and make something delicious., discover a recipe that becomes part of your own family's story, and someday you have a cookbook full of notes, favorite pages and spills and of course, memories and traditions.

Because recipes are meant to be shared + I believe every old cookbook deserves another chapter.
